Do any of these sound familiar?

Many people struggle with the same challenges when it comes to their phone habits.

  • Opening social media without thinking, multiple times a day
  • Losing hours to endless scrolling when you meant to take a short break
  • Finding it hard to focus while studying, working, or reading
  • Repeatedly checking distracting apps even when you know you shouldn't
  • Setting screen-time boundaries but struggling to stick to them

Noctra was built to help with exactly these problems.

It gives you practical tools — not just motivation — to interrupt automatic habits and create healthier digital routines.

Digital wellbeing tools for intentional phone use

Noctra combines app blocking, focus sessions, recovery tools, habit tracking and calm atmospheres in one focused Android experience.

Distracting app blocking

Select the apps that pull you away from what matters. Noctra can detect when you open them and display a blocking screen to help you pause and reconsider.

Daily app limits

Set usage limits for specific apps. When you reach your limit, Noctra can intervene and help you step away rather than continuing to scroll.

Anti-doomscrolling interventions

Interrupt automatic scrolling loops with gentle interventions that encourage you to pause, breathe, and decide whether you really want to keep scrolling.

Focus sessions

Start a focused session for studying, coding, reading, writing or deep work. Noctra helps you stay on track by reducing distractions during your session.

Recovery with calm atmospheres

Ambient soundscapes and recovery sessions provide a calmer alternative to high-stimulation apps and endless content feeds.

Understand your habits

Track focus time, urges, detox sessions, streaks and patterns that influence your relationship with your phone. See your progress over time.

3

Noctra interrupts the habit

When you open a distracting app, Noctra can display a blocking screen or intervention — giving you a moment to pause and choose intentionally.

4

Review your progress

Track your focus sessions, detox streaks, and screen-time patterns. Over time, you'll see your digital habits shift in a healthier direction.

Accessibility Service use

Noctra uses Android's Accessibility Service to provide real-time app blocking, app usage limits, and anti-doomscrolling interventions.

When the service is enabled, Noctra detects when an app selected for blocking or limiting is opened. It can then display the blocking screen, usage-limit warning or intervention configured by the user.

Accessibility access is required for these app-control features to work in real time. Noctra does not use this service to read passwords, payment information, private messages or text you type. Accessibility data is not sold or used for advertising.

The service is enabled manually through Android Settings and can be disabled at any time.

Privacy is important

Noctra is designed to respect your privacy. Most data stays on your device, and we do not sell your information.

For full details about how Noctra handles your data, including information about app permissions, third-party services, and your rights, please read the Noctra Privacy Policy.

If you have any questions about privacy or data, you can contact support at any time.
